Waiting

Days turn into months

And months into years

As I patiently wait for your return.

Just thinking,

Where could you have gone.

Gone like the wind.

You left me her waiting,

Just waiting.

I see the flowers bloom,

Roses and Tulips and Sweet Pea and Peony;

They are like jewels to me,

But you are the only jewel I have yet to see.

I am still waiting,

Waiting for that jewel that means more to me.

Still waiting,

And waiting.

My patience is like sand in an hourglass,

Slowly it is slipping away.

I have waited long and hard

For you to come back,

But I cannot wait any more.

I love you and always will.

But alas,

I shall bid thee farewell.
