We All Rise Anyway

At the arena

Section 105

A girl stands in the staircase, microphone in hand

We were told that we would celebrate our great nation

we were never told, however,

to stand and take the hats off our heads.

God Bless America

the song starts

We were all proud of our country

We were never explicitly told to stand,

But we all rise anyway.

The fact that we are all a patriotic crowd

That we were never told to stand like this was the Star-Spangled Banner

That we would feel like jerks if we didn't act like it was,

because if we didn't, we would be very disrespectful,

We all rose anyway.
