We Have...

Tue, 03/12/2013 - 19:19 -- SRamos

We have been
Down the road
That most have not traveled

We have fought
For the rights
That we thought should be ours

We have marched
On cities
To prove a point

We have protested
The wrongs
That have been done to us

We have boycotted
The laws
That were forced upon us

We have tolerated
The taunts and beatings
Of those who held hatred in their hearts

We have survived
The harsh conditions,
In order to succeed in our fight

The road we have once traveled
Was tough
But we remained strong until the end

Therefore, we have
Accomplished
What we’ve intended to succeed

And we have
Conquered
The road less traveled by others
