We Rise

We will rise from the ashes of the innocent slain

Those guilty have no remorse for the one's who cry in pain

Where sadness envelopes the few who are trapped inside their own brain

Love one another as all the same

From enemy to a friend

Where you find the light within them as a person

Showing hope and no shame

Crying out for help

While going unheard by the silence of the many who go unspoken

Because of the fear of prosecution to be given a sentence

Where life is infectious being made into rational development

And hope can be suspicious by the nature of injustice

Giving meaning to what biased is

Yet still We Rise

Where the light shines through the cracks

In the ceiling of the many who cry out for saving

Grabbing them by the hand just to embrace the fact that you are there

For a purpose to embark on a journey to rescue the forgotten

Rising in the midst of destruction

The world falling apart

But there is hope in the people

For they are the reason that life is made

The reason that We Rise from the Ashes of the Innocent Slain
