As we are black ,
we tend to be underestimated
as we fought for our rights they couldn't hold us back

As we are black,
we have been struck with poverty and the unlikely
hood of discrimination
but we still rise with a greater force to the unknown

As we are black
there is a hope that one day we
can and will become some one

Today as we are black
we stand as one united under one god
as we stand together in unison

we will become someone some day
