Why

I write to remember what I think
In times of passion
When my thoughts scream for attention
Creating a garbled amalgamation of voices

I write to remember how I felt
In times of passion
Be it blind fury or blind love
The feelings go, the writings stay

I write to remember what I say
The pen aides the brain more
Than the sword
A sharp tongue bests a sharp blade

I write to remember why
We seem to forget what we do
We’re only human
So let’s act like it
