Why Do We Behave As If We Are Completely Alone?

Location

I  have acquainted myself with silence

I truly feel alone

I see the crowd of people conversing

My mind, what a humble abode

Why do I behave as if I am completely alone?

Animals we are -- our actions truly show

Confined to our habitats

Enslaved by our habits

We never make the effort to look or talk to someone we don't know

Why do we behave as if we are completely alone?

"I won't see them again."

"That's a waste of my time!"

It is frightening to see our apathy for humanity

Yet it is best to correct an issue in its prime

How do we stop behaving as if we are completely alone?

We all fear dependency out of prejudice

A village no longer raises a child

And a man no longer gives out of good

Indeed, a cordial man is buried by vice

Why do we behave as if we are completely alone?

One can concur that the answer to this question is already known.
