WHY? WHy? Why? why? wh? w? ...

WHY?

The child asks,

Mum Why does the sun shine so bright,

WHY is the grass so green,

and the water so blue?

Mum WHY, WHY Mum WHY?

one day you'll know child

WHY everyting is just the way they are.

But when Mum when,

WHY do I have to wait.

But wait we shall,

for the day to come...

It never came ,

never did, but the child never bothered anymore,

for soon the WHYs grew fainter,

later they were just silent thoughts in our heads,

then totally forgotten,

totally gone, for good.

WHY thrown out of the door and onto the strrets with what little it held,

of that young young mind.

done with WHYs were we,

but what about the questions.

WHY did we let them go anyway...

For with every time she turned her back,

to walk away leaving me looking.

I wonder to myself,

sitting here years later,

WHERE DID ALL MY WHYS GO?
