WILL THE COUNTRY EVER HEAL

Where is the sound of weeping and lamentation coming from?

From the hills and the valleys of the rainbow nation

The beautiful country that came from the pain and blood

The mirror that the world see democracy unfolding.

The land that came out of compromise in order to allow peace to reign for the future generation.

How come the rainbow nation weep like this if the law exist?

Is she not sitting on the foundation of democracy?

Where is section 108 of 1996, the mighty protector of the nation?

I am talking about the constitution of South Africa the mighty protector of all the people.

Can the have-not find refuge on your arms? Or you only admit those who have to your massive gates?

The cries of woman and children are overheard from the dust of those retired to the land of the dead.

They were violated and forced to retire to the quiet land without justice.

Violation and the killings of woman and children is a breath of men who are law to themselves.

And the blood of the defenseless is trampled upon by those who disregard the law.

Is the law blind to the cries and the misery of the nation?

Is the Arm of the law paralyzed to safe its own people?

The watchers of the law said the law is not blind to the defenseless but the defenseless are perishing before the eyes of the same law.

The Law is the dumb dog that cannot buck
