World of Difference

The world is such a simple place

We are all lucky enough to be on this rock

A rock floating in space

But everything is taken for granted

The world is a beautiful thing:

The mountains, trees, rivers,

bears, lions, monkeys,

snails, worms, ants

We take them all away

and what do we have?

Nothing, I would say

That is what we are doing

Draining rivers and streams

Burning rainforest

Wonderful it may seem

We may never realize what we are doing

And until we do

We will drown

In our own stupidity

of what we call  "good deeds"

We will have no water

No food

No vacation destinations

No more air

Ne need to make some changes

We need to leave the trees

And leave the wide open ranges

For the buffalo and lions to rome

Because without them,

where would we be?

We would be nothing
