To stop and take away my life they tried.
The night was done but mornin’ sun seemed cold
Secrets they hide from you they say are lies.
Tonight the world will cry with pots of gold.
The hardest part about my life was time
I’d wait for days and nights and days and nights
To love and love for them and lose my mind.
The pain The war The fight The end The light
I ran until my feet were soft and warm.
Let’s leave and go and fight for life they’d say
We stopped the world and ran and ceased the day.
If I could take it back no way I would
Maybe I’ll stop the bad, the bad for good.
