The Worth of a Thousand Seconds and an Hour

Thu, 04/06/2017 - 09:51 -- Teaaa

What is the worth of a thousand seconds?

What is the worth of an hour?

It is what it is.

They say it's "what you make it kid."

But no one knows who he is,

What he is struggling with.

He has a dream,

it's bigger than it seems.

To be ok,

for just a day,

to have the courage to say,

that he loves himself today.

He wants to be at peace,

to gain acceptance,

and relief.

But it was a struggle indeed.

For what you can't see,

is he was bullied,

he was hurt,

he was told,

he has a lot to learn.

Deep inside,

he knows he has nothing to hide.

But he has been pushed to the edge,

an extreme,

too undescribable I deem.

There is both fire and rain,

everything he has been giving is insane.

So all he sees is this impending,

neverending,

END.

And then...

For a thousand seconds someone told him he would be alright,

for an hour they pleaded him to live just another day and night.

These were kids who cared,

who were incredibly kind.

And so I find,

that the worth of thousand seconds,

and an hour,

has so much power,

it can never be defined.
