To Writer's Block

Dear Writer's Block,

I tried to write a song today,

but something got in the way.

Was it you?

You decided to show up again

I thought I told you we're not even friends

Yes, what I said was true.

You see, I have this melody

and no words to accompany.

What am I supposed to do?

Well, I'll repeat the chords multiple times,

find some words that kind of rhyme.

See where I am getting to?

I'm strumming all the strings

finally starting to say some things.

Can't you see my point of view?

Here's something on paper that makes me smile

I've been working on this for quite a while

It's getting late now, the time is 11:52.

So now that you see how it is

Once more it's the end of this

You're the writer's block I once knew.

You continued to yourself,

but guess what

I GREW.

Not so sincerely,

Me
