They come to see the man
The one who they say has the plan
For he gives them hope
For they can no longer cope

You see,
He has a dream
A dream where everyone would be treated as equals
Where everyone would be treated as peoples

You see,
They are the same
Yet we treated them with shame
We stood against them, like they had no name
For we, we are to blame

You see,
All they wanted was freedom
But we shut them down and wouldn’t even see them
For he, he was the one with the dream
You see, he saw what we could not see
He was the dreamer
And they, they were the believers

You see,
Once he gave them his sight,
They knew they no longer had to fight
For they knew they were peoples
And they, they were our equals

You see,
We too began to see
We saw through the eyes of the dreamer,
The one who created all of the believers
We too, no longer had to fight
For we understood their right

You see,
He saw what we could not
He forgave and he forgot
He did not fight when he could have fought
For he saw when would could see not
