The Young Lovers in The Kiss by Gustav Klimt

The pale faced woman,

clearly, we see.

Her tight embrace,

and rapture emotion

framed by her static face

The flamboyant colors that pop

distract us all.

The golden warmth that enriches the lovers’ lives,

like if it gave a clue to their possible fortune.

The earthy brown justify

their doings as something natural.

The green that flows beneath the lovers’ knees

brings succession their love and the renewal of new selfish emotion.

It is the small details that bring us to examine their relationship;

colors of lust, radiance, and holy desire,

not to say, the most common shapes we live with

to state that this is mundane

And what about the man?

He hides his face, ignoring the viewers.

Unknowing of his own reaction, Gustav.

He embraces purely, uncaring for the rest of the world.

Though the rest of the world will see him (behind a frame).

His emotion so strong, it only reflects from his lover

One of many to come his path.

Crowned by leaves of nature; crowned by pure instinct.

A small touch with full embrace

A kiss beyond all desire.
