It feels like you are here
Sitting right next to me.
But you are over there
Leaving my heart heavy.

But I do not mind it at all honestly
As long as we can talk like we always do.
You are a close friend who makes me quite happy.
I swear it's like you're filling my mind with you.

You never heard my cries, my sobs, my agony
I show you simply things that gives a good smile
I rarely tell you of my mind's cacophony
And yet you ease my wounds from a distance of miles.

But there are days I can't speak
Days I don't want to come out.
Maybe it's because I'm meek.
In the end, I want to shout.

I'd tell you but then I realize
One, you're not here by my side
Two, I have I fed you too much lies
Three, it's hard since there's much I hide

But somehow, you are always there
And right when I need you most too.
You know when things are hard to bear
Too bad distance won't let me hug you.

It's just a bit disheartening, you hear?
Because you are all the way over there
So far instead of being somewhere near.
I'll just accept that you cannot't be here.
