Youth

Tue, 01/23/2018 - 02:24 -- itmejle

On the day you are born,

you take your first looks and first breaths in your new home.

On the day you turn five,

you make your first friend, and you start to develop memories.

On the day you turn ten,

you begin to recognize what is important and what is dangerous.

On the day you turn fifteen,

you lose your innocence, and you see the world for what it really is.

On the day you turn twenty,

you are now a part of this world, and you must play your role in providing for it.

On the day you turn twenty-five,

you have reached the peak of your youth, and you reminisce your journey.

On the day you turn thirty,

you turn your focus to the youth of your children.

On the day they turn five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty--

What will be of the youth you once lost?
