All I Need Scholarship Slam - CLOSED

Wanna win $1,000 for college? Thought so. Keep reading to find out how.

We all know this familiar question: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what's the one thing you would take with you? You might be quick to answer with your favorite book or an empty journal to fill with all the new existential thoughts you'd have while on an island by yourself. Well, we want to take this challenge a step further.

What is the one thing you can't live without? Is it a person, an object, or even an idea that you hold close to your heart? Tell us in a poem about the importance of the one thing you feel you absolutely need and why, for your chance to win.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. The basic requirements are this: (1) you are 25 years of age (or younger), and (2) you are a current or former high school student who will attend or is attending college within the U.S. or its territories.
  2. Add an original poem to Power Poetry by Friday, April 15, 2016. You'll need to register as a member of our community first.

Got questions? Our scholarship FAQ and contest rules should have the answers. If they don't, feel free to contact us.
