What Would You Change Scholarship Slam

ABOUT

Imagine you have the power to change any one thing--no matter how big or small. It's a new year, and we're offering a new opportunity for you to tell us what you would change (and why) for your chance to win $1,000 towards your college education.

Would you change something about yourself? Your community? The world? Write a poem (in whatever form and style you choose) and tell us what you would change.

Need ideas? Get inspired with our action and tip guides.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Make sure you're eligible by checking out our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and the contest rules. Basic requirements? (1) 25 years of age (or younger), (2) a current or former high school student who will attend/is attending college within the U.S. or its territories, and (3) a submitted original poem with the poetry slam tag What Would You Change Scholarship Slam.
  2. Become a Power Poet by registering to be a part of our community. Look at previous winners, Action Guides and other poems for inspiration.
  3. Add an original poem to Power Poetry by April 11, 2014.
  4. Check out our FAQ if you have any questions about the contest.
