Poems about Animals
You don't know me; we've yet to meet.
But you seem to know all about me.
Magic was once real
More than books or fairytales
It had life and meaning
It was its own master
Don’t call me weak,
because a movie can cost me a tear.
I can be emotional, so to speak.
Apollo, a bird of mine,
He is noisy much of the time.
Unless he's sleeping, sitting on me.
It was just 50 years ago, your grandma thought of my people as a lesser race. Animal, humanoid. Today we sit here.
This year has many ups and downs
But the downs are what put me down
I struggled a lot with the deaths this year
