They are just like us,
From characteristics,
To emotions.
They lift our spirits,
On our darkest days.
When will we learn?
When will we cry?
We’re letting our planet burn,
We’re letting it die.
Vegan, a what? Cult? A kinda Fruit? Is that in the Middle East? (heard it all)
No meat, no animal milk or eggs!?!
Open the door, pitch black
Something pounces, giving me a heart attack
Long tongue, licks me in the face
Who gave you the right to take away mine?
Who gave you the right to tell me where to sit
To eat
after 9/11, we bounce back
after hurricane irene, we got back on track
They think we are subservient,
They think we do not know.
They think we are susceptible
Listen to Me for once in your life!
You don't know what this pain really feels like.
The buildings echo with the chant of our drums
The voice of our people, the cries of our sons
