Glow-up not Grown-up

Sun, 06/23/2019 - 15:25 -- Qnorto3

A glow up formally know to society as,

Straight teeth.

Thigh gap.

Lack of back fat.

New hair.

New style.

No brains.

Got game.

Ran three miles.

Look at these smiles.

From strangers I’m dying to obtain.

I have yet to glow up.

Let alone grow up.

It a miracle if I can even keep this flow.

On the down low.

Of poems my parents will never know.

All from these subtle moments.

With every painstaking details seared into my brain.

Because I have yet to obtain.

The body.

The look.

That skeletal frame.

That comes with such fame.

Left with with only three months.

About 96 days.

To get through this craze.

Of lean fit body’s.

Only my dream may attain.

My mind.

Belittled and broken.

Because no one has spoken.

That when you stand in the sun.

Your bound.

To burn.
