“Raised by a Queen”

When you see a kingdom you see two thrones

But when I see my mother I see her alone

So where is the king to sit by her side?

Needless to say he never sat there

We’re not kids wondering where our king is

We’re all grown now

Starting our careers and facing our fears

Trying to find a prince who will show us he’ll be there

We don’t want temporary days or months

 We want years

With only guidance from my mother

I know that this prince has to be tougher then my brother

And win over my sisters

But more importantly my Queen

“Love or Hate”

How can you love someone with hate?

And for you that’s what I have

20 years later I still don’t understand why or how

Why wouldn’t you fight for us?

And how could you abandon your responsibilities

Even still I did what you couldn’t do for me

Which was to love you still unconditionally
