21st century slaves

we traded shackles for gold chains

and plantations for prisons

we keep trying to tell em

but they aint listening

because when the big man speaks

you shut up

don't move

raise ya hands

don't say don't shoot

because your silence

will kill you too

this country

will disown you

you were never apart of

their red white and blue.

This poem is about:
My country
