3, 2, 1, Action

Who am I?

I am a role.

A character

decided for me by

my director.

My character is not who I am,

but who I want to be.

My dream

is to be someone

I am not.

Sitting home

I stare in the mirror,

but I am not home anymore.

I am a new person

in a new place.

They say practice makes perfect.

I am practice,

I decide each day a new persona.

You think you know me?

I am never the same person

twice.

Today I’ll be happy,

today I’ll be strong,

today I’ll be a friend,

a sister,

an optimist.

At home again,

I’m a spy,

a villain,

a criminal.

I already am my dream.

I am whoever I want.

I am a role

and it changes.

You’ll never really know me

I don’t even know me.

I’ll be whoever you want me

to be

or not to be.

The world is my

movie

and I am my

director.
