Ab(use)

Ab(use)

A helping hand turned into a hurting hand

Good guidelines gone too far

Daily duties met with demand

What should have been a talk, ends up a scar

Who knows the reasons

What does it matter

Personalities change like seasons

Trust and love begins to shatter

Some call it justifiable

Some say it was deserved

But how can one be reliable

When they can hurt and stay unnerved

They may say it’s out of love

But love is not violent

Love is not a push and a shove

Not picking on someone like a piece of lint

Abuse can be controlled

Abuse is not a disease

There is no solution that remains untold

It can be stopped with a “please”

To abuse is to use

It is the taking advantage of

Someone is hurt just to amuse

This is no definitely not love
