Abusive

You might call it an--
Abusive relationship
Wrong.
Dangerous.
Backwards.

Because she hits me and I hit back,
Because she gets higher and I keep falling,
Because we aren't in this together

You might call it a loveless marriage--
Because I have never once compromised.
Because I have taken from her,
Because she has taken from me,
And we have swallowed the pieces, never to be found again
(I think we must vaguely resemble swiss cheese)

We lose each other.
(Is that called compromise?)
I don't know her, and she doesn't know me.
This is her concept of the perfect equality.
(Is that what equity means?)

You might call it an abusive relationship--
But you couldn't possibly judge.

You've never had her stand behind you,
Add force to your word.

You've never had an America
So don't you dare call me absurd.
