An Acrostic Poem- Tamara Nicole Thomason

Time can change a person

And that is perfectly alright.

My dreams

And my personality have

Really changed over the years.

At a very young age, I was determined I would become an author.

Not only did I love reading, but I loved writing as well.

I soon realized I would need a second job as well if I wanted to survive financially.  I

Chose to be a librarian so that I would be surrounded by books all the time.

Over the years though, I realized that did not want to become a

Librarian.  I wanted to do something more meaningful.

Every day and every night, I contemplated what I wanted to become.

Then I finally got to the point in my life where I needed to

Hand in applications to colleges with a chosen degree.  I looked back over what I had thought about

Over the years and decided my

Major would be English- so that I could become a better writer and I could teach kids about the joys of literature.

After taking a few entry-level education classes though, I realized I just wanted to teach early elementary with a

Specialization in reading.

sO, I then switched to Early Childhood Education for undergraduate and am planning to go to graduate school to become a Reading Specialist.

Now, my life is a lot different than I ever thought it would be, but I am very excited to be on the journey that I am now on.
