Adult Reason

Some days are like a haze

I start to realize that it was all a phase

Who I am today isn’t who I’ll be tomorrow

But “Everything happens for a reason”

Will always be my motto

Snow cones, ice skating, and puppetry

My younger days were rather blossomy

But soon things changed

And I felt like I was in a cage

House to house my family moved

Unstable, inconsistent it proved

School after school, I was new

All the lonely times I went through

My brother got all the attention

He hit, kicked, and my things got taken

I was always the one to be calm

But my household was a firebomb

The police was called constantly

While my brother was getting more crazy

I became stressed

It was a mess

But eventually I got accustomed to change

I know it’s kind of strange

At that point I knew

I was becoming an adult too

I want to be able to be consistent

So I vowed to do that in that instant

I’m the type of person to change when need be

Because I want to become a better person faithfully

My family
