After Dark By: LB Hues

You are the night

Both dark, and perplexing

You are the moon

Who unlike the sun in the day,

Is unnoticed and dismissed as another sight of

Dim white light in the night.

Within your very self.

But much like the moon

To those that look

You are a beacon

Bright and mystifying

Supposedly from the earth, but who’s to say?

You are the night

Just waiting on the day.
