Agape

Location

He told me when I was broken and confused

He told me when I had everything to lose

He told me he loves me

When I rejected his efforts and laughed at his gifts

He showed me he loves me

When I went against his will and did what he forbids

He showed me he loves me

When I was facing death and on the very, very edge

He proved that he loves me

When I violated myself and gave others the pledge

He proved that he loves me

I tell him when I am broken and confused

I tell him when I have everything to lose

I tell him I love him

When I praise his efforts and smile at his gifts

I show him I love him

When I go after his will and do what he permits

I show him I love him

The way he loves me, I want to reciprocate it to the sky’s rim

If he ever stopped loving me, I will love him until the sun dims

I will cling to him until the day the earth dips

He loves me when I am ugly, weak, and selfish

He loves me when I am beat, broken, and blue

He loves me when I am mean, lustful, and devilish

He has that agape love, unconditional

To accept love is to exude his agape love, universal

He has that agape love, it is undeserving

To receive his love, it is never-ending

I love him because he first loved me, 1 John 4:19

He tells me, shows me, and proves; John 3:16

So, I tell him, I show him, and I prove; Romans 10:9
