All to Common

Tue, 09/26/2017 - 21:16 -- SWAK

Everyday that I awake I thank the creator for the day then I brush my teeth with toothpaste and wash my face.

As I pray for my sake Lord my soul is yours to keep, guide me through this day and keep me safe like a sheep

I was born with the heart of a lion raised inside the belly of a beast. My killer instincts helped me survive the heat of these streets.

As I grew into a teen chasing the so called American Dream, I was up to no good in the hood improvising and surviving the times like a Marine by any means.

Until the anger with the complications of trying to make it, got in the way with no patience as I faced a nation builted on hatred.

I never saw the signs of when I crossed that line of making love to the block with no glove and a glock nine.

I fell victim to the system addicted to the living of sinning in the lenin with dope guns and women.
