America

All my life I've lived here
I've pledged to an inanimate object
I never actually cared too much about that
But after years upon years of learning
Only now are my eyes open...
TYRANNY
they would shout it over the tiniest things
The government would adhere to the people and fear them
"ok"
we lay back and say
because we're afraid of the government
even though they treat us this way
REVOLT!REVOLT!
that is what they would do,
for betterment, they believed starts with you
now trying to make life better
it is frowned upon.
Many revolting for a lost cause
Revolting so they can suppress one's rights
I wonder how government officials can sleep during these nights.
From ash to ashes and dust to dust
red blood we all bleed
and in God we trust
