America is not great at all

Divided not unified

America needs a great change

To be the land of the free and brave

 

America is a prosperous nation

Yet there is a divide between the poor and the rich

If America is so wealthy

Why is there so much poverty?

 

The land of the USA is in so much debt

From countless wars and terrible leadership. What a huge regret.

With so many college students financially broke

America’s funding for the education system is a joke.

 

America is a nation where diversity is not welcome

Whites vs. blacks and gay vs. straight

Sending back the immigrants to their homes of despair

Crushing their dreams of being free. That’s not fair.

 

America is the place where people are not guaranteed good health.

Because health care is not affordable and costs are rising

Health care is not a commodity and should be a basic human right

So, we as patients shouldn’t have to fight.

 

America is the home of corporate greed.

It is the place where corporations can influence elections.

If America was truly free and a democracy

The citizens would be the only ones to decide an election. What a hypocrisy!

 

The U.S. government is a cover up.

They hide information from us.

If America was truly great

We as citizens would know our fate.
