How about America the fake?

How about this joke that we take for the media, 
What about the corruption of our images?
America the land of materialism, the bought, the sold, 

America the land of the "free"
Save from our own prejudice,

America the land of the silenced.

The lost.
The found.
The tossed, and shuffled, 
The mocked. 
The privileged.

The broken,
The famous,
The unknown,
The hidden.

 How about America the place where struggles are a laugh
And pity is a foreign concept among today's youth?

What about America the lazy. 
In a world of technology,
tasks and innovation are something of a chore for more and more people my age. 

"America the great"

And yes, we are "great"
But that is not all that we are...

Far from it.
