America's Truth

America’s greatness spreads wide for everyone to seeThe Nation's bubbles for the world and me, brings unity,The People our nationSelfish and corrupt with cloutThe color of my skin leaves me with doubt The constant eyes and ears Looking down judging Depicting who I am, Where We belong,As i look to the sky know it's the limitAmerica is the reasonWhy I know i'll never be in itThese words they spit is influencing my peersknowing they'll never be accepted here Stereotypes that leave my sister with tearsWe try to love ourselvesBut everything the news shows Tells us we're wrong We need to preach positivity Not lies and praise the worst possibility We need to learn how to help each other outbefore we get lost and strandedbringing the pain, without a doubt
