Another Day In School, Another Day In Misery

You rub the sleep from your eyes

and paint on a smiling face.

You put on skin tight clothing

to pretend you have no waist.

Jump through hoops just to fit in:

Look like models, show some skin.

and never show that you're only human.

It's hard to keep your grades up high.

It's hard to stay awake.

You wish that you could tell the teachers

that you don't learn this way.

You will not raise your hand in class

to avoid the looks and angry stares

You cannot comment, you do not question

because the teacher hardly cares.
