ANOTHER Gym Poem

Above me, the lights so bright,

Underneath the artificial light.

Into the distance the treadmills whirr,

From thick to thin was just a blur.

Over time people begin to see,

Along with the people that are closest to me.

Without dedication nothing would be done,

For let this be a lesson to everyone.

Until you try, you will never know,

Above and beyond, how far you will go.

After your inner self shines through,

Before you realize how much you grew.

Within yourself you begin to look.

Behind all the gobbledygook.

Now I see how much I have changed,

It’s something that I had prearranged.
