Another Reason

Everyone has a filter,

Something that covers up the real problem,

Something to hide behind.

It's a constant battle,

But sometimes when your adrenaline is pumping,

That filter falters.

Kind of like when you like someone,

Your heart skips a beat,

You put up a front,

Try to act all cool and nonchalant,

When you know your melting inside.

We all face an unknown battle,

With how society preceives us,

And how we want society to see us.

We try to be everyone but ourselves,

For what?

People are still going to judge you,

People are still going to talk.

So what's the purpose?

You act like someone you're not,

Giving everyone another reason to judge you.
