Apologies

I know you have said it all before

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it

The fight we had last night, you called me ugly

I’m sorry, you’re beautiful

When I didn’t respond, you called me stupid

I’m sorry, you’re smart

Your words brought tears to my eyes, you called me a child

I’m sorry, you’re more mature than me

I asked what was for dinner once, you called me fat

I’m sorry, you’re thin

Yesterday I talked back and you pushed me into a wall

I’m sorry, I love you
