arcoiris (rainbow)

arcoiris

all the colours of the rainbow,
are there for us lgbt kids to glow

red rays that radiate strength and revival,
orange sunsets that root for our survival,
yellow sunflower fields are where the insecure saplings bloom.
green, but never with envy or gloom.
blue hues that color the endless skies where we fly from and to,
indigo; violet; purple, no matter what you call it, the lilacs that grow here are lovely just like you.

we come from the smallest sliver of white light,

we can be the reflections on walls that are hidden in plain sight,

or we can paint entire cities with colors loud and bright,

we won't let weeds soil our gardens without a fight.

esto es el arcoiris, (this is the rainbow,)
un lugar para que los chicos lgbt brillen. (a place for lgbt kids to shine)
