In Arms

Put down those guns

To honor all of our sons

Don’t have to be the one that shuns

but instead, make the impact for a ton

Don’t have to have the same beliefs

for all of us to have some peace

Give up that fleece

for the fighting to cease

No matter their birth

protect the people of Earth

Let kindness come forth

from the South to the North

Who cares if it is immigrant or native

why can’t we find a way to be relative?

Talk to our inner hater

and say, “See you later.”

Look at what we have done in the past

Men and women killed in a blast

How can one say they’re the best

when our history has yet to be put to rest

No one counts the bones

it takes for us to moan

This needs to recess

for humankind to progress

It’s sad to think that families are being torn

when we all are going to mourn

Why doesn’t everyone give

to help all the families live
