Around a Cuban in 80 Words

You traced lines into my palms,

Dictating my future,

And rewriting my past.

You peered into my veins,

Studying them as if they were,

The verses of a holy book.

You flowed through my blood stream,

Traveling with the tide,

Till you surfaced,

And your mouth met mine.

You moonwalked through my brain,

Took your sweet time along my synapses,

Flew into my mind’s hurricane of promises and lies,

And by surviving the storm,

You brought me back to life.
