Autumn

These summer days will fade.

This pain won't last forever.
It'll all be okay; do not be afraid.
Though it may feel strange,
the seasons will change.

When darkness creeps in,
know that all nights do end.
You can fight them and win
with the daylight you've saved,
despite struggles you've braved.

Inhale. Exhale. Feel the breeze.
Let it blow your past faraway,
like it blows the leaves from the trees
that are preparing a new start
as you're healing your heart.

The days might get colder,
but it will get better
as the scars grow older.
Don't give it a second glance;
just grab hold of this chance.

Look to the sky
as the time passes by.

Your autumn is coming.
