Awake!

Location

Beyond the forest trees, beyond the ivy wall,

There lies a Garden of roses, and Mind once full of imaginings.

Alas for this Garden of roses, this Mind of imagination!

Its blooms of thought withered,

Its stems of logic snapped,

The soil which once fertilized roots ripe with knowledge,

Now drowns them with rains of misleading notions.

Awake, O Garden, awake!

You were created for more than this.

Your blooms were meant to change the nations,

Your stems to keep the steady path,

Your soil to enrich into your roots,

And make them ripe with knowledge.

Lo! There in the East, golden rays peek over the horizon.

The sun is rising, a new day dawns.

The yellow rays awaken the roses,

Sturdy the stems, nurture the roots,

Dry the soil of unwanted moisture.

The Garden has come to life once more, the Mind has awakened!
