Awakening

Morning sunlight peers through her bedroom blinds

Comfortably lying under a fluffy, down comforter,

she imagines the day before her.

Never having existed,

she smiles at the possibilities.

Her plans are uncertain.

And before her,

lie moments,

desirable and undesirable.

Releasing a breath of air,

her feet hit the floor.
