Back to School

Sweat keeps finding its way

Through that new blouse you bought specifically for the first day

Am I in the right room?

I sit down anyways

Because it is worse to ask, and for them to hear your voice

than to sit in a class you don’t belong in

My heart beats

And that sweat

It just keeps finding a way out

of that new blouse I bought specifically for the first day

This poem is about:
Me
