Last night, I imagined life without you.

Red lights meant go and green meant stop.

Books were burned, skyscrapers toppled.

Platinum, silver, and gold were priceless, nothing but stones used for crime and punishment.

Last night, I imagined life without you.

Vampires lost their taste for blood.

Werewolves howled at crescent moons.

Zombies crawled back into their graves, dancing willingly into the ground.

Last night, I imagined life without you.

Children refused to believe in Santa Claus.

Magic was just a legend.

Love itself started to deteriorate, the whole world hanging by a mere thread.

Last night, I imagined life without you.

I couldn't, not without walking backwards into my broken past;

Not without walking backwards to face my demons.

If our love is a dream, I don't want to wake up.
