Bare Bones

Location

My bravery is the blueprint from the pain left behind

My veins like electricity running through this bare boned house

Keeping the generator pumping, sending air out of my mouth

Windows with no curtains, eyes makeup free

Hard wood flooring, nothing covering me

Bare bones dusty, chipped paint for all to see

Splintered steps groan and moan

The heavy door refusing to let go

Peering through the window

Seeing only me

This house isn't old and decrepit

It's merely an antique

Bones bared, fixtures naked, I see what I don't see

The beauty isn't in the decor

But what lies beneath

Scared

Insecure

Beautifully Flawed

Words to describe my bare bones and all
