Battered Earth

Tue, 09/09/2014 - 15:39 -- ecimase

The sky forever burns

The brimstone crumbles

Bodies, eaten by worms

The dead land rumbles

A world without pain

Your ashes in the wind

It falls as acid rain

Because of our own sin

A fate all have met

Now no one is sad

All the pointless death

Oh so very bad

Is this my place of birth?

The tables have turned

In its former glory, Earth

Its beauty I yearn

This devestated world

I really wonder why

Death's prophecy unfurled

To you all, I say goodbye
